Philippines will not be cowed by threats

Confronted with a continuing diplomatic row with Taiwan along with a lengthy-standing territorial dispute with China, President Noynoy Aquino on Tuesday rallied Navy troops here, saying the Philippines won't be cowed by risks including those from other countries.
The leader further stated that his government is likely to procure more equipment for Philippine Navy, including multi-purpose attack crafts, amphibious assault boats, frigates and helis. Aquino, the military's commander-in-chief, stated the Philippines is capable of protecting itself against internal and external security risks, and assured military authorities present throughout the big event that his administration is dedicated to modernizing the Military from the Philippines.
Ultimately, however, Aquino reminded military authorities to workout calmness and temperance when confronted with internal and external risks towards the country.
